The Asian Student Alliance is a student led club at the Branson school dedicated to bringing Asian/Asian-American culture to the Branson community and Marin county. From hosting bake sales selling delicious asian cuisine, to introducing Asian holidays to the Branson community, and even visiting the Asian communities of the Bay Area, we look to find engaging and fun ways of exploring Asian cultures in America. As a part of the Branson community, we discuss issues concerning Asian culture that are important to the students, using funds raised from bake sales to donate to Asian communities in need of assistance. ASA has previously donated to the Chinatown Community Development Center, Nepal earthquake disaster relief, Typhoon Haiyan Relief fund and other organizations that strive to aid people in need. The Asian Student Alliance will contribute to the greater community by bringing events to campus such as Lunar New Year, Lion Dancing, and Mid Autumn Festival. ASA is proud to come together and think about how we can work as a club to build bridges and link cultures through mutual respect for all, inviting students from any ethnic background to join in a unanimous goal to spread Asian culture.
